There are so many things single moms have shared with me in recent times. Given the current state of affairs, it is not hard to see how any parent can feel overwhelmed.
The current climate we live in is filled with unrest and tragedy. Lives are being lost, the economy is unstable, joblessness is in record numbers, wild fires are everywhere, and police brutality is rampant among other things.
In my private counseling practice, I hear a lot of discouragement and see individuals feeling as if there is no hope. In particular, single mothers wanting more understanding about how to better connect with their sons during these troublesome times.
As a therapist I believe in helping people get results. Therefore, the concepts that I offer in this book can be put into practice right away. The tools provided are practical, a few are repeated, and some may even be profound. However, many are common sense but not common practice.
I would like to thank you for choosing this book. I hope that once you finish reading it you will be empowered, refreshed, and motivated as a single mother. In turn, reducing your feelings of being overwhelmed.
